Private physiotherapy treatment is not covered under the provincial health plan in Nova Scotia (MSI). However, most private insurance companies cover private physiotherapy, massage therapy, osteopathy and dietician treatments. Please check with your health insurance provider (for instance, Medavie Blue Cross, Great West Life, SunLife, RWAM, etc.) regarding your coverage. We are able to direct bill most insurance companies.
Payment is required each session. Payment methods we are able to accept include credit card, debit, cash, cheque or electronic transfer. We provide you with a detailed receipt that includes your therapist’s registration number. You may then submit this receipt to your insurance company to be reimbursed for your visit.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to regular appointments. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
